Lemon Plumcake
I love lemon desserts and lemon cakes … I like the taste,aroma, freshness … This recipe lets you make 2 plumcakes …
Ingredients:
. 100 ml of milk
. juice of 2 large lemons + 4 drops of lemon essence
. 3 cups (tea) of all purpose flour
. 1 pinch of salt
. 1 tablespoon of baking powder
. 150 g butter at room temperature
. 2 cups (tea) of sugar
. 4 eggs
. 3 tablespoons of poppy seeds (optional)
For the frosting:
. 120 g of icing sugar
. Juice of 3 large lemons
. grated rind of 2 lemons
1) In a bowl combine milk, lemon juice, and the lemon essence (and poppy seeds if you use them)
2) In another bowl sift flour, salt and baking powder.
3) In mixer beat butter with sugar until creamy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well. Reduce speed of mixer and add, alternately in 3 times, the milk mixture and the dry ingredients. Divide the dough into 2 plumcake’s molds, bake in pre heated oven at 170 degrees for 40 minutes. Remove from the molds, pour the glaze, which you must mix cold …..: P…enjoy it!
